Free fatty acids (FFAs) play important roles in many physiological processes.Assessment of FFAs is important for understanding their homeostatic and pathophysiological roles (Figure 1A).Most reported methods examine these pathways in isolation.Besides,analysis of FFAs in serum,cell line and tissue samples are critical due to the ultra-low level and interference from the complicated matrix.
