Coral-associated bacteria are ubiquitous in the coral holobiont temporally and spatially.Diverse and dynamic coral-associated bacteria assemblages potentially have functions related to nitrogen, carbon and sulfur metabolism, coral disease resistance and abiotic stress tolerance [1,2].Coral reefs are widely distributed across the South China Sea.However, the microbial consortium has been rarely documented in South China Sea corals.
