This paper focuses on the study of the wind farm voltage and reactive power control requirements that are included in the international grid codes of the major wind power markets in the world.The basic technical principles about the wind farm voltage and reactive power control are explained.At the same time,serious attention has been taken for the existing technical problems at the point where wind farm level voltage and reactive power control.At final step,around this issue,investigations for the related technical solutions have been implemented that realized from optimization and site engineering of Direct Drive Permanent Magnet (DDPM) wind turbines.In addition,conclusions about the mentioned technical issues have been summarized as a result for the problems mentioned above.
