In this study, one-trial step-through task has been applied to reveal the effect of prefrontal infralimbic cortex GABAA receptor agitating on passive avoidance memory consolidation in rats.Twenty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats (Rattus norvegicus) were implanted stainless steel guide cannulae into the prefrontal infralimbic cortex, and after 7 days recovery, they were trained with a step-through passive avoidance task.
