Tungsten oxide (WO3-x) is a transition metal oxide that has been rigorously studied for their electrochemical properties, especially the nanostructured WO3-x for the electrochromic investigation. The understanding of the detailed evolution and the interface structure of the electrochemical lithiation is the key for both the lithium battery and the electrochromic device based on the tungsten oxide.Yet little is known about the exhaustive structure information of the lithiation front interface of tungsten oxide. Here, by using in-situ high resolution transmission electron microscopy to investigate the electrochemical lithiation reaction in single WO3-x nanowire, we show the in-situ real-time characterization of the lithiation interface at lattice resolution.
