Patients are especially concerned about aesthetic manifestations of the ageing process in the area of the cheekbone, cheeks and suborbital zones, therefore, rejuvenating interventions in these areas are mostly demanding.Aim :To represent experience of the TOTAL CHARM Clinic gained in carrying out aesthetic operations and manipulations in the middle face area by both classical and original techniques. Methods:Amongst surgical interventions which we have used were as follows: face lift, methods of threadmediated lifting (Aptos thread, Aptos thread 2G, Aptos needle, Aptos needle 2G) in a combination with inferior blepharoplasty and without it, lipofilling, skin peeling, as well as a combination of these techniques. In so doing, special attention was paid to the individual approach, aiming to minimize the invasion and, more importantly, trying to achieve the effect of moving the subcutaneous soft tissue to a new, aesthetically more advantageous ,higher position with fixation of tissues to hard structures. It was not uncommon that we used the methods aimed at increasing the volume by means of various fillers. Results:We have studied the outcomes following application of the above-mentioned methods of lifting the bucco-zygomatic and suborbital regions and a combination thereof over the period from 2003 to 2006 in more than 450 patients. In the overwhelming majority of the cases, the obtained outcomes proved to satisfy both the surgeons and patients involved. Conclusion:The methods of lifting soft tissues of the middle face and their combinations which we used proved rather efficient in rejuvenating a flabby, aging face.1.Sulamanidze M.A., Fournier P.F., Paikidze T.G., Sulamanidze G.M.Removal of facial soft tissue phtosis with special threads, Dermatology Surgery, 2002 May; 28:367-371.2.Sulamanidze M, Paikidze T,Sulamanidze G.Utilisation du fil APTOS dans le lifting facial.La Revue De Chirurgie Esthetique de Langue Francaise 2001;25(103): 17-22.3.Sulamanidze M, Sulamanidze G.Lifting of soft tissues: old philosophy, new approach-a method of internal stitching (Aptos needle).Journal of the Japan Society of Aesthetic Surgery 2005; 42 (5):182.4.Sulamanidze M., Sulamanidze G.Aptos Suture Lifting Methods.10 Years of Experience.Clinics in Plstic Surgery, April 2009, volume 36, No2, 281-306.
