Recently, a considerable amount of attention has been focused on endocrine-disrupting compounds (EDCs) due to their ability to mimic the actions of endogenous hormones in vivo and in vitro.DEHP and Aroclor 1254 are the most widely used EDCs, and believed to have great relevance with many metabolic pathways.Toxicity studies of single EDC are important for obtaining basic toxicological information. However, humans are simultaneously exposed to a lot of EDCs.Therefore, the combined toxicity of EDCs should be assessed using high throughput techniques.
