Al-11.5 wt.%Si alloy was modified by Sr and then solidified in different moulds.The results showed that whether or not adding Sr modification agent the electrical conductivities of alloys solidified in the moulds are ranked as follows: graphite mould > copper mould > refractory mould.However, the addition of Sr greatly increases the electrical conductivity of the solidified Al-Si alloy compare with that free of Sr.
