Graphene oxide acted as the multifunctional nanoplate was filled into cellulose spinning solution to fabricate a series of composite fibers with different graphene oxide weight ratios (1-3%) via the industrial wet spinning route.The morphology and structures of the resultant composite fibers were characterized by SEM, FTIR, XRD, afterwards, their mechanical properties, flame retardance, UV blocking, far infrared emission were evaluated and compared.The results indicated that graphene oxide dispersed evenly in the cellulose matrix and hydrogen bonding was evolved between graphene oxide and cellulose compounds, the composite fiber performed desirable mechanical properties, up to 1.5-fold increment of breaking strength, reasonable flame retardant properties, and excellent UV blocking (UPF >50) along with the high level of far infrared emission (>80%).These multifunction composite fibers could be applied in variety application of soft materials.
