The C-H…π interaction is the weakest hydrogen bond (1.5-2.5 kcal/mol-1),which occurs between a soft acid and a soft base.However,they have played significant roles in various fields of chemistry and biological systems.Pillar[5]arene is a new type of calixarene analogue which has shown interesting properties in host-guest chemistry.
