Water Gas Shift (WGS) reaction is a well-known step in the process of synthesis gas production which is used for upgrading H2 to CO ratio of the product and is expressed by: CO + H2O ←→ CO2 + H2 △H2098 =-41.1 KJ.mol-1WGS is thermodynamically favored at low temperatures and kinetically favored at high temperatures.The traditional two stage WGS process consists of a first reactor operated at 300-450 ℃ and a second reactor that works at lower temperatures.
