In order to get comprehensive performance of a gel polymer electrolyte (GPE),polypropylene (PP)-supported blending polymer of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) with poly(vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene) (P(VdF-HFP)) was considered in this paper.It is found that the PP-supported blending polymer with PEO to P(VdF-HFP)= 4:1(mass) shows a cross-linked porous structure and has 205 wt.% of electrolyte uptake.The GPE prepared with this blending polymer exhibits an ionic conductivity as high as 2.72×10-3 S.cm-1 at room temperature.The GPE is also compatible with anode and cathode and its electrochemical stability is over 5.0 V (vs.Li/Li+).The battery using this GPE shows good rate capacity and cyclic stability.
