Recently, the self-assembled nanostructures of block copolymers (BCPs) containing poly(ionic liquid) (PIL) domains have attracted considerable attention because of their potential applications toward a range of transport-dependent.energy-based technology.1,2 Compared with the self-assembly of coil-ionic diblock copolymers, the incorporation of the liquid crystalline (LC) block brings two additional factors that influence the phase behaviors of LC-ionic diblock copolymers, including geometric asymmetric factor3 between the LC and ionic blocks and the aligning interaction or LC interaction4 between the LC chains themselves.
