As we known, RP-HPLC with ODS column is the most popular and efficient chromatographic mode because of the universal selectivity for most of the organic compounds, widely stationary phase supports, simple aqueous mobile phase, etc.However, the traditional separation materials for RP-HPLC face urgent challenges due to the simplex hydrophobic interaction and much more complex samples.Moreover, 2D-HPLC system requires orthogonality between the two columns.Therefore, it is desirable to develop complementary separation materials for RP-HPLC combined with C 18.Except for the basic requirement of the chromatographic separation materials, the complementary separation materials for RP-HPLC require universal selectivity, multiple interaction, orthogonality with ODS, etc.
