Our group is interested in organoselenium catalyzed reactions because of their green processes that generate no wastes, and because of the possibility to recycle and reuse the robust organoselenium catalysts, which is a very important issue in industrial production.During the past three years,we have developed a series of green methods to synthesize the useful compounds, such as trans-1,2-cyclohexanediol,1 vinyl esters,2 β-ionone derivatives,3isatoic anhydrides,4 4-methylenebutanolides,5 cyclobutanones6 and nitriles7.
