Bony ankylosis secondary to heterotopic ossifica tion (HO) following the open reduction and internal fixation of an acetabular fracture is often associated with disability in the hip.To the knowledge of the authors, there has been no published case of the treatment of acetabular nonunion associated with se vere HO with heterotopic bone mass used to recon struct posterior wall of acetabulum.
