The research trial was conducted at Poultry Experiment Farm,Sub-campus Toba Tek Singh,University of Agriculture,Faisalabad to evaluate the effect of antibiotic and non-antibiotic growth promoters i.e.phytobiotic in broilers. Two hundred and thirty day-old broiler chicks were randomly distributed in 15 pens (15 chicks per pen).Five experimental diets were used as Control (basal diet),antibiotic growth promoter (Bambercin-40@4g/Kg feed),commercially available phytobiotic Grofac(R)@120g/50kg feed,Herbal blend@90g/50kg feed and Herbal blend@180g/50kg feed.Supplementation of herbal growth promoter against antibiotic exhibited significant (P<0.05) effects on weight gain,Feed Conversion Ratio and non-significant effect on feed consumption (P> 0.05).Supplementation of herbal blend/product against AGP had no significant (p>0.05) effect on RBC,WBC,Hb and serum biochemistry (triglyceride, cholesterol,HDL and LDL).In conclusion, herbal medicine supplementations in broiler revealed positive effect on performance, dressing percentage and hematological parameters.
