The 2-alkynyl-alk-2-en-1-ones have been found to be powerful precursors for synthesis of various polysubstituted furans via the 1,3-dipole intermediate in the presence of transition metals,[1-4] we reported herein a new 1,3-diene intermediate which can afford the 2,3-fused furans.
