The oriental sweet melon (Cucumis melo var.makuwa Makino)Yumeiren as scion, and the white seed pumpkin Shengzhen No.l as rootstock, are combined with tongue approach grafting.The fruits of self-rooted plant are used as control.The objective of this experiment was to study effects of grafting on free fatty acid content and related synthetic enzyme activities (LOX, ADH, AAT) during different development periods in peel and flesh tissues of oriental sweet melon.
