Effects of internal noise (which is resulting from the small cell size and whose strength is inversely proportional to this size) in a square-lattice H(o)fer calcium oscillation systems are studied numerically using chemical Langevin equations. Our simulation results show that internal noise can induce spatial pattern.Interestingly, there is an optimal internal noise strength (or optimal cell size) at which the patterns spatial coherence reaches the maximum, indicating the occurrence of spatial coherence resonance.
