ICLAS Programs to promote high quality laboratory animal science globally

The Intemational Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS) was established as a global organization to promote and coordinate Laboratory Animal Science throughout the world.Two important priorities have been the promotion of education and training of personnel involved in work with animals and the promotion of harmonization of guidelines and regulations in the care and use of laboratory animals at a global level.One of the areas were ICLAS has been having a significant impact is supporting education and training in laboratory animal science worldwide.Recently,scholarships have been established for those involved in animal facility management as well as veterinarians.
