Objectiv: Interleukin (IL)-33, belonging to the IL-1 cytokine family member, is an important modulator of the immune system associated with several autoimmune diseases.IL-33 expresses high level in endothelial cells and epithelial cells of intestinal tract.Therefore, IL-33 may play an important role in the development of intestinal inflammation.In this study,we investigated the effect of IL-33 oa DSS-induced chronic colitis in mice.
