A numerical study of radio-frequency (RF) glow discharges in atmospheric helium modulated by pulses with repetition frequency of 900 kHz is presented. In each discharge burst, the discharge is temporally restricted in several RF cycles, which suggests that the discharge burst operates in the discharge ignition phase before achieving the stable state.
