Objective To summarize the effects of application of vacuum sealing drainage technique and flap transplantation to repair the soft tissue defects and bone exposed wound in lower limb.Methods From January 2007 to March 2012,22 patients with chronic wounds and bone exposed in the lower extremity were admitted.Wound ranged from 5cm×3cm~18cm× 10cm after debridement.Vacuum assisted closure therapy was used,with an average of 16 days until the fresh granulation tissue grew,infection was controlled.The adjacent flap or free flap anastomosis was used to repair the bone exposed wounds,the remained wounds was repaired through skin graft.Results Most wounds could heal by first intention.One cases of necrosis in flap distal and one cases of free flaps encountered venous disorders survival after symptomatic treatment.Allpatients with skin graft survived completely,the flaps color similar to skin around with good texture and no bloated,no osteomyelitis recurrence.Conclusion The vacuum sealing drainage technique and skin flap transfer to repair the bone exposure wounds in the lower limb is a safe and effective choice.
