Purpose The polysomnography (PSG) index of apnea hypopnea index (AHI) is considered as a "gold" criteria for stratifying the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).However, in some OSA patients, AHI cannot reflect the true characteristic of chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) which might trigger systemic inflammation.High sensitive C reactive protein (hsCRP) was considered as a systemic inflammatory marker. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between PSG variables and hsCRP among severe OSA men.
