Recently, energy transfer has been extensively researched for analytical application.Usually, the energy transfer needs an aceeptor and a donor.Carbon nanomaterials, especially the one-dimensional carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and two-dimensional graphene, have been used as excellent energy acceptors to quench the fluorescence of donors with high energy transfer efficiency, which can interact with soft single-stranded DNA (ssDNA)nonconvalently by means of π-π stacking interactions but hardly interact with rigid double-stranded DNA (dsDNA).
