One of the new discoveries of the recently launched Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph(IRIS) is that very small-scale(sub-arcseconds) brightenings,namely bright dots,are sparkling all over the solar transition region.In this study,we carry on a statistical study on these transition region bright dots in active region.
