Profile and flatness is one of the most important quality indexes for wide strip.To the high quality steel,the downstream processes have higher requirement to its profile and flatness.Therefore,it is more difficult to obtain good profile and flatness.In this paper,the problems about the profile and flatness control during the production of stainless strip,silicon strip and galvanizing strip were introduced.The special shape control methods of hot rolling stainless steel,the whole processes shape control solutions of silicon steel and galvanizing strip were proposed,including roll contour design and contour configuration tactics for work roll and backup roll,the strategy and mathematic models of profile and flatness control,process parameters optimization,equipment management and their status checking.After the industrial application of the these integrated profile and flatness solutions,good results were achieved.The quarter waves of hot rolling stainless steel were eliminated effectively.The rate,which the transverse thickness deviation of silicon steel is less than 10 μm,was increased from 46% to 100%.The return rate of galvanizing strip because of bad shape resulted from the ridge buckle was reduced from 5.4% to 0.64%.
