Basic Yellow 21 in fishery products was determined by fast liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry in this study.The method for Basic Yellow 21 quantitation was developed.This analyte was detected by electrospray ionization in positive mode using multiple reactions monitoring(MRM) and the method was validated.The limit of detection(LOD) is 0.2 μg/kg and the limit quantification(LOQ) is 0.7 μg/kg.The linear range is from 2.0 to 500 μg/L with the correlation coefficient over 0.999.The relative standard deviation of retention time and peak area are lower than 3.0%.The method was established for fast quantitative determination of Basic Yellow 21 in fishery products.
