Background:The aims of this study are to clarify the relations among the serum alpha-fetal protein(AFP) from normal range to obvious high level and liver histological inflammation grades,as well as status of HBeAg during the natural history of chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods:230 CHB patients were recruited.The serum AFP levels were detected and compared in different liver histological inflammation grades 1,2,3 and 4,as well as different status of HBeAg,respectively.
