Oxide dispersion strengthened(ODS)steels have been developed for several decades as the most promising structural material for next-generation fission reactors and future fusion energy systems due to their excellent resistance to high temperature creep and irradiation damage as well as extraordinary structural and chemical stability in extremely harsh environments. To meet the stringent requirements of fuel cladding materials for nuclear fission reactors and blanket structural materials for fusion reactors, corrosion resistant ODS steels with nanostructure have been developed.
