Purpose: To evaluate sensory recovery in patients with tongue carcinoma surgically treated and reconstructed in non-innervated radial forearm flap or anterolateral thigh flap.Method: 43 cases of tongue simultaneous reconstruction by using free flap.23 patients were reconstructed using a radial forearm flap,and the remaining were reconstructed with an anterolateral thigh flap.At 6 months and 8 months after treatment,all cases of tongue reconstruction were analyzed flap sensations to touch,two-point discrimination,sharp vs dull,warmth vs cold,then were followed to determine their swallowing and speech functional outcome.
