A series of anionic-nonionic gemini surfactants (PSSE-n) were synthesized through the first esterification of maleic anhydride (MA) with polyoxyethylenated stearyl ether (PSE-n) and followed sulfonation.Ultrasonic-microwave co-irradiation technique was used in the sulfonation.
