The purpose of this paper is to investigate its climatic control factors on Asian dust in South Korea.It was analyzed number of Asian dust days at 12 stations,which have observation data about Asian dust during long period.Also,it was analyzed relationship between Asian dust days and Arctic oscillation index,Antarctic oscillation index and Eurasian snow cover data.The number of Asian dust days was increasing after the late 1980.Especially,the number of Asian dust day was concentrated on April and increased second half(5.1 days) than first half(3.2 days) of the study period.Asian dust days in Korea have positive relationship with winter Arctic oscillation index and Antarctic oscillation index.It has negative relationship with the Eurasian snow cover.When the Arctic oscillation index and Antarctic oscillation index is positive,the Asian dust days will be increased.When the Eurasian snow cover will be decreased,the Asian dust days will be increased.
