To produce ethanol from lignocellulosic materials is considered as an economically viable energy strategy.However, at least three bottlenecks need to be overcome, which are the co-utilizing of xylose with glucose in the substrate, the expensive cost of cellulase, and the toxic of lignocellulose hydrolyzate.Here, we constructed the high-efficiency xylose fermentation strains using genetic engineering and adaptive evolution strategy.The transcription work had done and guided the further modification.Aimed to reduce the cellulase cost, the protein secretion pathway and N-glycosylation pathway were modified for CBP (Consolidated Bioprocessing) yeast construction.Furthermore, the resistant of yeast to the inhibitors in lignocellulose hydrolyzate was evaluated and intensified.
