Background Activation of cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) and their differentiation into myofibroblasts (MCFs) is a crucial event in the progression of cardiac fibrosis after myocardial infarction that leads to heart failure.Mesenchymal stem ceils (MSCs),especially hypoxia pretreatment MSCsWT (H-MSCsWT),has been shown to attenuate cardiac fibrosis.The aim of this study was to determine underlying mechanism of H-MSCsWT inactivated cardiac fibroblasts.
