  A novel nitro-coordinated potassium compound [K2(Hntdc)(H2O)]n(H2ntdc = 3-nitro-thiophene-2,5-dic arboxylic acid),has been synthesized and characterized.The complex contains K2O10 dimer,which is connected through carboxyl and unusual nitro-coordination of Hntdc anion to form a two-dimensional(2D)layer structure with 5-connected P 2-periodic net(6,3)Ⅱa net.
