The aims of this study were to investigate the anti-cancer activity in vitro and in vivo of actinomycin X (ActX),an actinomycin D analog isolated from a strain of Streptomyces antibioticus from a marine sediment and furthermore to explore its underlying molecular mechanisms.In MTT assay.ActX could dramatically suppress the growth of the solid human tumor cell lines in a time-and dose-dependent manner.
