OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore new nursing intervention measures impact on quality of life in Alzheimers disease patients with depression.METHODS: Forty patients with Alzheimers disease and depression were select from the geriatric neurology ward according to the study criteria as study objects, and randomly divided into basic nursing care group (20 cases) and nursing intervention measure group (20 cases) with 1 year intervention.Basic nursing care group included daily routine, sleeping, medication and safety measures, while nursing intervention measure group had psychiatric rehabilitation nursing besides the routine measures.Cornell Scale for Depression in Dementia (CSDD) and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) were performed in all patients for the assessment at pre-intervention and post-intervention.
