This article refers to the cultural remains of the Tarim Basin are 30 state - level units and 157 autonomous regions - level units of cultural relics protection since the historical period to the premodern, including five major types: ancient sites, ancient architectural structures, ancient tombs, cave temples and stone carvings. So many cultural remains are data to study the history of the development of people -land relationship because they preserved so rich environmental evolution information of Tarim Basin. The rise and fall of cultural remains is a space-time evolution process, which gives a dynamic model to explore the relationship between human activities and the environmental changes in the space-time degree. The river channel migration and the flow determine the advance and retreat of the oasis, and then determine the reservation and revocation of the ancient cultural remains. The general trend is that the ancient culture remains migrates from the basin inland to the edge of the piedmont alluvial plain, from the river downstream to the upstream.Succession of the Cultural types and the occurrence of major historical events have the profound environmental background. This article explored the intrinsic mechanism of the evolution of the Tarim Basin civilization and environmental evolution.
