The new complex Fe(N,N,O)Cl2 (N,N,O=6-[1-{(2-methy)imino}ethyl]-2-acetylpyridine) was prepared and evaluated as precatalyts in the oligomerization of ethylene, using M-methylaluminoxane (MMAO) as cocatalyst.The catalytic activities and selectivities of the system in ethylene oligomerization have been studied under different reaction temperatures, n(Al)/n(Fe) and reaction pressure.The optimum reaction conditions were as follows: 20μmol/1 of catalyst, 60℃, 2.0MPa, n(Al)/n(/Fe)=1500.The activity could reach up to 6.6× 107g/mol·h.Selectivity of butene-1 was less than 10%, while selectivity ofhexene-1 and octene-1 was more than 20% and 25% respectively.
