Purpose As we all know,there is a long-standing recognition of the correlativity between diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and EBV with the fact that EBV-positive (EBV+) DLBCL of the elderly is included as a new provisional entity in the 2008 WHO lymphoma classification.EBV+DLBCL,including EBV+ DLBCL of the elderly,responds more poorly to treatment and inferior overall survivals (OS) compared with EBV-negative (EBV-) patients.
