Aim: Cerebral ischemia can impair the induction of activity-dependent longterm potentiation (LTP) in the hippocampus.Here, we investigated the effect of xanthotoxol on the induction of activity-dependent LTP and the expression of NR2A and NR2B subunit NMDA receptor in the hippocampal CA1 region after focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury.
