The HapMap Project is an international collaboration among centers and groups of 6 countries,aiming to identify and catalog genetic similarities and differences in human beings.Using both MassARRAY and BeadArray systems,in phase I the Chinese HapMap Consortium (CHMC) has generated over 28,000,000 genotypes in with African,Asian,and European ancestry.In total China contributes 10% of the total genotyping efforts,including HapMap construction of Chromosomes 3,21 and 8p in this international endeavor.This presentation includes introduction of HapMap strategy and completeness status,the usage of HapMap data,as well as certain preliminary analysis on H apMap data at CHMC,including SNP minor allele frequency distribution,extend patterns of linkagedisequilibrium,and population comparisons.
