Ammonia borane (H3N-BH3, AB) is considered an ideal material for chemical hydrogen storage due to its very high H density (19.6 weight % H) and has attracted much research attention.1 Our approach to the dehydrogenation of AB was to use a transfer hydrogenation process with unsaturated compounds baring polarized double bonds such as imines and polar olefins.
