Aim: To explore the mechanism of suppressive effects of 3-daidzein sulfonate (DSS) on obesity in ovariectomized (Ovx) rats.Methods: Forty healthy female SD rats with weight of 220-250 g were respectively divided into the five groups at random: sham-operated group (saline), ovariectomized group (Ovx+saline), estradiol valerate group (Ovx+0.8 mg/kg) and DSS groups (Ovx+1.0/0.3 mg/kg).
