In the past decades,nanomaterials have attracted a great deal of interest due to its unique properties such as small size effect,surface effect and quantum size effect,etc.A lot of nanometer scale structures have been successfully obtained,including nanorods,nanoflowers,nanofibres and nanocubes,etc.Among the various structures,nanorings have drawn increasing attention because of its novel or improved physical and chemical properties.For example,metal nanorings(Au,Ag,Ni)usually showed strong localized surface plasmon resonances at near infrared wavelengths and can be used as highly sensitive biosensors.
