Pt-tipped Au nanorods(NRs)(Au/Pt)are synthesized by photothermal reaction. The morphology of Pt-tipped Au nanorods are controlled due to the cetyltrimethy-lammonium bromide(CTAB)tightly arranged on the sides of Au NRs.The Pt-tipped Au NRs display tunable localized surface plasmon resonance peaks from 800 to 1100 nm.Photothermal(PT)and surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)results indicate that the electron transfer occurs between the interfaces in the Pt-tipped Au NRs.
