　　Drought is more frequent natural hazard over arid regions of Pakistan.The primary southwest monsoon season yields about sixty present of annual rainfall in the areas.However, in 2009, most parts of the southern Pakistan experienced drought conditions due to lack of rainfall during major part of the southwest monsoon season.In this study, Regional Drought Identification Model (REDIM) is used to compute SPI and develop drought climatology over Tharparkar region of Sind as well as entire Sindh Province which is one of the most vulnerable regions to drought in Pakistan.The drought frequencies were computed using long times rainfall of 63 years on monthly basis.
