　　The purpose of this study is to clarify the regional structure and its historical changes as a coastal resort in Oarai town,Ibaraki prefecture,east Japan by authors' field survey conducted in October 2014,May 2015 and review previous research.Some previous research about coastal resorts can been seen in Japanese geographical studies such as Tanno(1984;1986),Uezu(2001).
